ASCOM Documentation For users that have a preferred control interface, like Maxim DL, for their camera operations, FLI offers the ASCOM driver, which will allow many of the common interfacing programs to communicate with FLI cameras. The driver is a telescope 'hub', meaning multiple ASCOM client applications can connect simultaneously. The old driver only allowed a single client application thus requiring the use of the POTH driver. The new driver does not require POTH. This ASCOM Driver only works for a mount that uses iOptron Mount RS232 Command Language 2014 or later. FLI Software Installation Kit (except for Kepler)
The FLI Software Installation Kit installs FLI's applications and USB device drivers. You will need to remove any previous FLI software before installing this package.

Finger Lakes Instrumentation's device interface software is open source, making it easier for our customers to directly interface FLI's devices. The SDK is supported on the following operating syste5ms: Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.x/10, Linux and Apple OSX. FLI's SDK is open source, please note the license agreement located in a comment block at the top of each file.

We highly recommend Windows 10 64-bit for Kepler. We do not recommend Windows 7, especially the 32-bit version.
